Review

1. After all the Gods, science and technology movies that marvel has showed us, we have finally come to some sorcery and let me tell you that the trailer alone will blow you away. Yea! it's that fantastic & mind-bending and it's only the first one.

2. Everyone is aware to the fact that it is an origin story and a must need one because Doctor Strange origin is unique and important enough that it simply has to be told on its own and without it wouldn't be so exciting just to jump to the action. You have to know how he learned all those magic and other cool stuffs.

3. The movie is quite faithful to Doctor Strange's comic book origin, which was first told in Strange Tales #115 in 1963 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko(the creaters of Docter Strange). The thing is Doctor Strange himself first appeared a few issues earlier, in Strange Tales #110, but he was just a mysterious sorcerer, and no real explanation was given for why he was the Sorcerer Supreme. Maybe even Marvel Comics was tiring of origin stories back then. Well who knows let's get into this trailer.

4. The trailer starts of with Doctor Strange in a very bad car accident that wrecks his hands, leaving him without a career or an identity. And you know what that means if you have read the comics and if you haven't than possible spoilers! but come one even a 10 years old kid will know it by only watching the trailer.

5. So, what's the use of a surgeon with wrecked hands? So, in order to restore his mangled hands to their former glory, Doctor Strange is showed going on a journey to every place possible where he can find a way to heal his hands. The picture above is of Pasupati Nath Temple in Nepal(exact:Kathmandu) and the other one shown in th trailer is of Tibet where he learns from the Ancient One.

6.“Stephen Strange. Might I offer you some advice? Forget everything that you think you know.” Although his voice is distorted in the trailer, this opening narration sounds like Chiwetel Ejiofor, who is playing Baron Mordo in the film. And Rachel McAdams, who plays Strange’s love interest in the film is only shown once when she and th others are talking him into a operation theatre. Despite a variety of early rumors suggesting that she was playing a character cut deep from Marvel comic book lore, we still don’t know who she’s playing. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige refused to offer a name, but he did say this much: “Rachel McAdams plays a fellow surgeon that has a history with Strange and is his sort of lynchpin to his old life, once he steps into he role of a sorcerer. She is someone he connects with at the beginning, and reconnects with, and helps anchor his humanity.”

7. In the comic book origins of Doctor Strange, Stephen Strange is an arrogant and seemingly untouchable professional being brought to his lowest point. So, since this movie is quite faithful to the comic book, the scenes where Stephen Strange is standing all high and mighty in his expensive apartment drinking wine while looking down to the city and extremely devastated and like the one who doesn't know what comes next are shown wine while looking down to the city and extremely devastated and like the one who doesn't know what comes next are shown which is a good way to show a person who has everything and loses it later. But, the good part comes after he loses everything because he gains something far more greater.

8. Baron Mordo, like in the comic book, is another student of the Ancient One, but unlike his comic book counterpart, it doesn’t look like he’s going to attempt to murder his mentor in a brutal attempt to obtain her magical powers. At least up till now, but who knows what happens because it's only the first trailer and at least 2 or 3 more are yet to come. So, hang on tight.

9. In the original Marvel comic book continuity, Doctor Strange meets the Ancient One in the Himalayas and trains under him while living high in the mountains. While in the trailer, even though they visit the himalayas, the his initial encounter with the ancient one is shown in the temples seeing how everything is old and mystical. And as soon the the scene where a symbol is shown from above comes, I know every one who has read comics and is marvel fan said it in their mind that it has to be the Tesseract. Well, I cannot say for certain whether it is the Tesseract or not but it seems to be it with the stone like thing in it's centre which is one of the 6 stones harnessed by Thanos. Like I said nothing is sure since it is only the 1st trailer.

10. This one has to be one of the coolest scene in the trailer: the Ancient One punches Stephen Strange and knocks his Astral Form out of his body. This is our first glimpse at one of the character’s most famous abilities. With his spirit separated from his physical form, he can leave his body behind and explore the Astral Plane, jumping between worlds and dimensions that are entirely unlike our own. The psychedelic and colorful Astral Plane is a mainstay in Doctor Strange comics, so we can only hope that the cinematic version is as wild and crazy as artist Steve Ditko‘s original drawings.

11. The second most coolest scene in the trailer is when Mads Mikkelsen, playing the villain in Doctor Strange, is shown. His identity has yet to be revealed clearly. His big introduction in the trailer doesn’t make it any clearer. The way he manipulates his surroundings like a giant kaleidoscope looks like he is summoning the either Nightmare or Dormammu (the most likely villainous contenders). My money is on Doramammu because of the strange, burnt-out eye makeup that he's(Mads Mikkelsen as Nameless Villian) wearing. Dormammu is always depicted with a flaming head, so this might be him starting to burn his way out of ol' Mads, but it’s a pretty incredible visual.

12.And here comes the third most coolest scene in the trailer: New York City folding in on itself, looks soo similar like in Inception. I can't really tell what is going on in this scene but there is a man in the middle of it. It might be Doctor stange himself as the man is wearing a cape. Well I cannot tell it for sure. Leave your views in the comment below.

13.In the last scene, Doctor strange is shown falling from somewhere(From other dimension I guess where the ancient one threw him) and requesting her to teach him and in the very last scene Doctor strange is shown climbing up the stairs all superhero style read for a fight i guess. So, overall I can't wait to watch this movie as it looks so good. Really Excited about it!!
